About Charlotte Conwy
Acupuncturist specialising in fertility, women's health and general wellbeing
I’m Charlotte Conwy – known to most of my friends as Charlie. I’m a licensed acupuncturist, Chinese Herbal Medicine practitioner and trained counsellor, with clinics in Bath and Frome, Somerset.
I have more than 10 years’ clinical experience and hold an Advanced Diploma In Fertility Support Acupuncture, having trained with Naava Carman and the Fertility Support Company – one of the most respected specialist fertility acupuncture programmes in the UK. Alongside this, I’m also a trained counsellor and a member of the British Infertility Counselling Association (BICA). This combination of fertility training and counselling experience which means I’m qualified not only to support your body through fertility treatment, but to support you emotionally through what is often one of the most challenging experiences of a person’s life.
Before moving to Somerset, I managed an acupuncture clinic in Islington, where I developed a particular focus on fertility, women’s health, pregnancy and the relationship between emotional and physical wellbeing. I now bring that experience to my clinics in Bath and Frome.
“Charlotte is incredibly knowledgeable and has a wealth of expertise in her practice…her approach of coupling it with compassionate care/counselling has been invaluable to me during some really challenging periods.”

My Approach
My work draws from Traditional Chinese Medicine and Five Element Acupuncture, shaped by more than 10 years’ of clinical experience and ongoing postgraduate training in fertility, obstetric acupuncture and trauma-informed care.
My counselling background carries through the way that I work – particularly with people navigating fertility challenges, hormonal health, burnout or long-term illness. Many of the people I work with are carrying a great deal. My aim is to create a space where the nervous system can settle, where the body feels supported and where you feel genuinely heard.
Depending on what brings you to clinic, sessions may include acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, moxibustion, electro-acupuncture, bodywork and / or lifestyle / dietary guidance where appropriate.
I also have a particular interest in understanding the wider factors that may be relevant to a person’s health. Within my fertility work, this can include reviewing. existing hormone and semen testing and where appropriate, discussing additional investigations such as reproductive microbiome testing or sperm DNA fragmentation.
Increasingly, this interest extends beyond fertility. I have a growing interest in the relationship between latent pathogens, immune function and chronic health conditions, and in how appropriate testing may help to build a fuller clinical picture. Where investigation or medical assessment is indicated, I work alongside rather than in place of conventional medical care.
For fertility clients in particular, I recognise how quickly trying to conceive or undergoing fertility treatment can become overhwhelming. Alongside acupuncture, I can help you make sense of your fertility journey, understand the inform action and investigations you have been given and, where appropriate, identify questions you may want to raise with your medical or fertility team.
Who I Work With
Much of my clinic work centres on fertility and women’s health. I support clients both trying to conceive naturally or undergoing IVF, and other fertility treatment, as well as through pregnancy, postpartum, peri-menopause and menopause.
