about me

Charlotte Conwy, BSc (Hons) Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine, Lic. Ac., Dip Adv. Fert., MBAcC

Hello, I’m Charlotte

I’m a licensed acupuncturist, Chinese Medicine practitioner and talking therapist, with clinics in Bath and Frome, Somerset.

My work is rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Five Element acupuncture, and shaped by over 10 years of clinical experience supporting people through a wide range of physical and emotional concerns.

My Approach

My approach combines traditional acupuncture with an evidence informed understanding of health, fertility and emotional wellbeing. I draw from both Traditional Chinese Medicine and Five Element acupuncture, depending on the needs of the individual, with treatments tailored to each person’s symptoms, health history and wider circumstances.

Much of my clinic work centres around fertility and reproductive health, supporting clients both trying to conceive naturally and alongside IVF. You can read more about my fertility acupuncture work here.

Alongside may acupuncture training, I have also completed counselling training and this background informs the way I work, particularly with people navigating stress, burnout, emotional overwhelm, fertility challenges and long-term health concerns.

Many people come to treatment feeling exhausted, overwhelmed or disconnected from themselves after periods of transition, stress, bereavement, hormonal change, fertility treatment, recovery from illness or emotional overwhelm. My aim is to create a supportive and non-judgemental space where people feel listened to, supported and able to slow down.

I continue to undertake additional training in fertility, women’s health and emotional wellbeing and my approach combines traditional acupuncture with an evidence informed understanding of health and fertility.

Sessions may include acupuncture, herbs, moxibustion, electro-acupuncture, bodywork, lifestyle / dietary guidance or reflective therapeutic support where appropriate.

Over the years, I’ve become increasingly interested in the relationship between the nervous system, emotional health and physical symptoms, particularly within fertility and women’s health.

Many of the people I work with are carrying a great deal, and this is especially true for fertility work, where people are often carrying hope, fear, repeated disappointment and the emotional intensity that can come with trying to conceive or moving through IVF. For me, this work is not simply about symptom management. It’s about creating a space where the nervous system can soften, where the body feels supported, and where people feel seen and heard.

If you would like to know more about my work, or whether acupuncture might be the right support for you, please feel free to get in touch.
